Synopsis
Blaming himself for his father’s death, EVERETT HALL, a young New Yorker, sinks into depression. But when he drinks the Candent, a star-medicine designed by ARTHUR DE for his father that Everett was unable to secure in time, he discovers strange and ethereal realms, in dreams, where he meets VIE INDIGO, a divine princess whose soul is shattered and scattered across the actual galaxy.
Everett soon realizes that he and VIE share a sacred connection throughout his life.
The two learn that the only way to restore INDIGO’s soul and power is for the remaining six Shades - RED, ORANGE, YELLOW, GREEN, BLUE, VIOLET - be gathered from each planet, guarded by ancient powers of Dreams and HEAVENS, and reunited.
Knowing that he is the only one who can save her, Everett discovers that he must defeat or outwit powerful beings to prevent VIE from being lost completely. However, it is not only VIE’s world at risk...

Backstory
VIE, a celestial being born from the Songs of the Heavens, is set apart from her brothers and sisters (the planets and the stars), as she has the unique ability to give life. Her parents give her the Universe as her inheritance and her jealous siblings plot to destroy her, splitting her into separate life-giving spirits, known as the Shades, which are then hidden on the different planets of the Solar System. Little did they know, one of the Shades had escaped and landed on a planet that would be known as “Earth”.
Over the next few eons, all life on Earth is formed from Vie’s essence. Civilizations rise as VIE teaches humanity how to live, and falls when the planets communicate with the humans to instigate their destruction. With each fall of civilization, VIE becomes weaker and weaker. Finally, the planets ignore earth, assuming she is no longer a threat.

Main Characters

VIE
VIE was set apart for a higher purpose… to give life to the Universe. Anything she interacts with yields life and anything that comes
from it.

Everett Hall
Hall is a young man. All is well in his life until his father, David Hall, is diagnosed with A.L.S. Hall knows Candent is the only medicine that can cure his father’s illness. He succeeds in purchasing a Candent, but unfortunately, it’s too late. Later that night, he accidentally takes the Candent for himself, connecting him to VIE. Unlike the other candidates, VIE is able to communicate with Hall through his dreams. This proves that he might be the one who can save VIE.

Dr. Arthur De
De was an orphan prodigy who was discovered and raised with an unorthodox upbringing by a mysterious man, his mentor, Mark Robertson. While on an expedition, he discovers a terraformed version of VIE called Indigo. He uses this to create a medicine known as the Candent. The money he makes from this he uses to establish Candent Laboratories (and its peripheral Ark Clinics).

William Hall
William is a stark contrast to his elder brother, Everett. He found his footing in ironwork, helping architect NEW MANNAHATTA before eventually building a successful welding business. The divide between him and Everett is deep. Fiercely protective of their parents, William holds little respect for the path Everett chose in supporting their father.

D.O.C.
If the walls are speaking to you, it’s probably D.O.C.! The Diagnostics of Organic Creatures - D.O.C., for short - is the brainchild of Dr. Arthur De. D.O.C. is the medical artificial intelligence that fully encompasses the ideals, skills and knowledge of what a medical professional should be. He is the very lifeblood of the Ark Clinic that manages and operates each Ark from a server hidden inside the CANDENT Laboratories headquarters.

Mark Robertson
An individual who has dedicated his life to searching for young prodigies that he can use to locate VIE and harness her power. He raises Arthur De until he loses him one day when they are on an archeological expedition, where De discovers Vie.
Important Settings

New Mannahatta
Once upon a time, in the future, Manhattan’s sister island, New Mannahatta, the apple of New York’s eye, is nearing completion… it is the hub of all modern technological advancements, and a host city to one of the world’s few ARK Clinics, a hospital known for administering the world’s most innovative medicine known as The Candent.

Candent Laboratories
The research facility of Dr. Arthur De, located in the heart of the Grand Canyon. This is the place where he created each of the Candents: Noir, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet.

ARK Clinic
Advanced Research Kingdoms (Arks). These are revolutionary hospitals that are dependent on the resources and research of Candent Laboratories. They utilize photonics, acoustics, and techno-organic therapies to treat patients, all of which are administered through an artificial intelligence system known as the Diagnostics of Organic Creatures or, more concisely as “D.O.C”.

Tone & Style
The visual style will shift between the surrealism of the dream world, the cinematic grandiosity of outer-space, and the soft naturalism of the real world on earth. Simply put, it fuses the surrealism of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and the depth of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. The overall framing and color scheme of the show will be highly symbolic of different science concepts (relativity, electromagnetism, gravity, quantum mechanics, biochemistry) and fantasy.
Since VIE takes place in a not-so-distant future, the show will have many details of our modern-day civilization, only slightly more futuristic: quantum materials, A.I. employees (and bosses), smart homes, universal cryptocurrency.

The soundtrack will feature a diverse array of instrumentals that accentuate the shifts between the aesthetics of surrealism, futurism, and naturalism. The show will favor instrumentals that are ambient, techno, neoclassical, as well as incorporate classic love songs.
